It is with a very sad and heavy heart that we need to announce the cancellation of the 2020 Buttertart Trot  Race.

Picking up for another runner, be prepared to show ID / letter of consent.

Parking

Free parking at race site, Sainte Marie Among the Hurons
FREE shuttle parking at Mitsubushi grounds (Across Hwy#12, Wye Valley Rd. Walking path under highway). For a quicker exit after the race, we strongly suggest parking at the Mitsubushi grounds.

Race Fees

  • Cancellation of the 2020 Race: Refunds for race entries

    Unfortunately fiscally it is impossible for us to offer full refunds for race entries as we have invested quite a bit into this year’s event already. Runners can choose one of 2 options: 

    • Although we have a no refunds policy we will be honouring a 50% refund for those individuals who are requesting this. 

    OR

    • We are offering a full deferral to the 2021 event. 

    In order to do so you must send an email to buttertarttrot@gmail.com with your choice, full name of registrants, and email (if choosing refund as it will come via e-transfer). This must be completed by FRIDAY APRIL 17th at MIDNIGHT.

  1. Can I run with a stroller

    Yes, of course we recommend you start at the back of the group. Your timing chip will be activated when you cross the mat.

  2. Can I bring my doG?

    Unfortunately Sainte-Marie Among the Hurons does not allow animals on their property.

  3. Is there a shuttle to the BT festival?

    FREE shuttle from Mitsubushi grounds for runners and family.

  4. WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY RACE FEE?
    Butter tarts at every aid station and post food station

  8. Where do I park?

    Free parking on site and across road with a tunnel to site. This is recommended if planning on going to Butter Tart festival, easy right hand turn to downtown

  9. What is for sale on site?

    Coffee shop, light snacks, merchandise , Butter tarts 

  10. Where are washrooms?

    On site at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons in facility

    Parents encouraged to run with child, no registration for parent required

    1k = 125 racers

  15. Where do the race proceeds go?

    Camp Quality Southern Ontario, located in Schomberg, is a non for profit camp, that provides an uplifting experience for children affected by childhood cancer. It costs $1500 per child to send them to camp. To learn more visit www.campquality.org

  16. Can I walk the course?

    We welcome walkers in all distances. The Half marathon walkers will be sent out at 7:00am, as cut off times is 11:30 am.

  17. I WANT TO SWITCH MY RACE DISTANCE

    Participants can switch themselves. Log back into your running room dashboard to complete.
