Butter Tart Trot race route 2024 - A New Course! <View Map>

For 2024, we have been given permission once again to start our race through Sainte-Marie among the Hurons. Please join Irene (Race Director) as she shows you the course.

The Midland Butter Tart Festival is growing, adding more vendors which requires greater space. Unfortunately, this has resulted in a altered race course. Access through the downtown Midland harbor and roads has been fenced off, and there is no alternate path to continue on the Midland Rotary trail. However, the committee has come up with a plan to maintain the 21km with a 2-loop course. The race will begin through the historic Sainte-Marie among the Hurons, following the trail as in previous years. A new turnaround point will be established, just beyond the 10km runner's turnaround. After one kilometre from the start line, you will be directed to a new route and another turnaround. Your second loop will follow the same path as the other racers as in previous years. <Please see Map>
